Your kiddo’s first dentist visit is coming up! That’s a big deal! It is totally normal to feel nervous, but you can do it. 

Here are some tips that can turn this into a fun and positive experience that will set the stage for a lifetime of healthy smiles. Let’s get ready for your kid’s first dental adventure!

Start early with positive talk

Start talking about the dentist early and keep it chill. Instead of making a deal about it, casually mention it’s just like another fun thing to do. 

You can say something like, “Guess what? We’re going to visit a new friend who helps to keep out teeth super clean!” 

Remember, not to use the dentist as a punishment – you want to make it a positive experience, not something to be scare off.
